Áö³­ 2012³â, ÄھƽýºÅÛÀº ¡¸CORE-VISION 2020¡¹À» ¼±Æ÷Çß´Ù. ¿À´Â 2020³â±îÁö ¸ÅÃâ 300¾ï ¿øÀÇ Áß°ß±â¾÷À¸·Î µµ¾àÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÌ À̵éÀÇ ¸ñÇ¥´Ù. Localization efforts with technology and products in the field of automation equipment 
With accelerating convergence between industries and between technologies, the upcoming 4th industrial revolution is changing the picture of the frontal industrial area fast. That is, an intelligence factory or ‘smart factory; which can improve both the quality of products and customer satisfaction, is spreading widely. Meanwhile, Core Systems, an automation equipment supplier, is leading the way in spreading the seed of the 4th industrial revolution to every corner of the society, based on their excellent technology and rich experience. 
Since foundation in 1999, Core Systems located at Yeonil-eup, Namgu, Pohang city, Gyeongbuk has supplied automatic control equipment to diverse industrial factories including steel, chemical material, gypsum board, etc. Recently, it succeeded in localizing the machine tools such as scale pit unmanned facility and transferrable crane automation facility helping each enterprise improve productivity and strengthen competitiveness. President Park Je-seo of Core Systems said, “In my past on-hand experience of the industrial area, I learned that our field of automatic control mostly depends on foreign products and that technological independence together with domestic development of products is absolutely needed in order to improve domestic industries. So we have put our hearts and souls into developing unique domestic technology and products equal to the global level.” 

By accumulating knowhow through numerous trials and errors, Core Systems not only succeeded in localization of diverse products but came to be possessed of the specialized technology capable to compete with the world. The Flagship products they are currently producing are wide in diverse spheres including Integrated HMI System which does a communicating role between man and machine, PLC System which acts the role of brain for automation system, Motor & Drive system which transfers electrical energy into physical force, Sensor and electronic parts which monitors each kind of signals and conditions and moves equipment needed for automation, and every kind of automated machines and system engineering.

Being selected in 2015 as ‘Pohang city’s promising small but powerful enterprise,’ Core Systems repeated a wonderful growth from its 6.7 billion won of annual sales in 2014 to 8 billion won in 2016 and 13 billion in 2016. Also, by annually achieving operation in the black since foundation, the company is proving itself to be a solid enterprise with a solid base. President Park emphasized that this prime mover of growth is ‘person.’ He said, “We are a ‘knowledge-based engineering’ enterprise. This means that how much each and every employee can concentrate on his work with utmost exercise of their capability is the requirement for growth. While in a large company, organization moves an enterprise, for a smaller company, persons move the enterprise. A smaller company can build up only when all the members exercise their ability 100% with a sense of ownership, I think.” 
Accordingly, president Park has made efforts to build a man-oriented company with the principle of ‘man-oriented corporate management.’ Not only sharing the company’s vision with employees through transparent, open management, the company is annually paying a certain profit in the form of incentives so that the gain of the company may be evenly distributed to all employees. Besides, by making all the staff subscribe to accident insurance, the company built the safety net to prepare against sudden accidents, and made an environment for concentrating more on work by giving family medical check-up and support for children’s school expenses. The biggest characteristic is the guarantee of ‘lifetime employment.’ President Park explained, “There is no retirement age in our company. Besides, for skilled technical hands, we are making efforts to re-create employment by allowing the opportunity for getting a job back. For such reasons, among the 45 current employees at work, the personnel who has served the company for over 10 years reaches half of the whole and turnover is remarkably low compared to other companies in the same industry.”
In 2012, Core Systems made <Core-Vision 2020> public. Their goal is to make a leap into an established enterprise until 2020 with 30 billion won in sales. Core Systems once achieved stabilization in sales at the time when the local ironmaking industry went downturn but this year the company is moving forward with a goal of 15 billion won in sales. In addition, the company signed an agreement in this January with a local children center, Neulpooreun Maeum, located at Dooho-dong Buk-gu, Pohang city conducting monthly donation and volunteer work as a corporate responsibility. Saying, “As I explained earlier, the power of a smaller company comes from ‘persons.’ But it is difficult to secure an excellent personnel due to the prejudice of the young generation toward a smaller enterprise,” President Park requested a new sight for smaller enterprise as space to explor one’s potential for their future life shedding a prejudice. Their enthusiasm to become a centerpiece in the upcoming 4th industrial age based on technology and experience piled up for dozens of years will be a cornerstone for Korea’s economic take-off.
