Hyundai Motor Group wins five awards at Scottish Car of the Year

Hyundai Motor Group announced on December 4 that the IONIQ 6 has won five awards at the Scottish Car Of The Year Awards (SCOTY) organized by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW), including being named Car of the Year. Hyundai Motor Group won five awards out of a total of 18 awards, the most of any global automotive group. In addition, Hyundai Motor Group’s electric vehicles won four of the five awards, demonstrating its competitiveness in electrification. The Ioniq 6 has been hailed as “the one car that stands out. “The Ioniq 6 has a great design, from its sleek exterior to its stylish cabin, and it’s the perfect combination of design, class-leading performance and practicality,” the judge said. In addition to Car of the Year, the IONIQ6 took home two awards, being named Large EV of the Year, and was recognized as the best car in the highly competitive Large EV category for being “driver-friendly.“ Voted Best Large EV, the judges praised the IONIQ6 for having the speed and comfort of a sports car, as well as its driver-friendly technology and low maintenance costs.

Hyundai Motor launches ‘8th Hyundai Kids Motor Show’ contest

Hyundai Motor Company will hold an online submission period for the 8th Hyundai Kids Motorshow, a drawing contest on the theme of “future cities” imagined by children, from Monday, December 4 to Friday, January 12, 2024. Launched in 2016 as the world’s first children’s imagination motor show concept, Hyundai’s signature campaign for the growing generation is now in its eighth year, with the number of submissions and visitors to the exhibition increasing every year. Hyundai has selected the theme of the contest, “Draw the city of the future in your imagination.” The plan is to engage children in various fields such as smart cities, future air mobility, and future robotics, providing them with the opportunity to experience the learning process and foster their imagination and creativity. The submissions will be judged by experts in the fields of art and education, and 150 finalists will be selected. A total of six works will be selected for the best category, including three for the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and three for the CEO of Hyundai Motor Company. In particular, the six winning works will be digitally realized in time for the May 24 Family Month to attract the public’s interest and experience.
