Customization drives growth in sales

The company has expanded its business into construction and maintenance of cold storage, commercial refrigerators, ice machines, heating and cooling equipment, and air conditioning systems since its establishment in 2015.

The company is active in the fields of custom refrigeration equipment manufacturing/construction/maintenance, ice rink refrigeration, constant temperature and humidity equipment, and research chamber installation.

The company is especially popular for its customized production according to the needs and wants of clients.

CEO Jaebeum Kwon said “We diversified our products by customizing mass-produced products and manufacturing them in customization.”

3RTECH’s LED color refrigeration showcase was differentiated in blue, light orange, green, and red with LED lights for interior effect.

The company is also gaining popularity by developing a refrigerator equipped with AI wireless remote control. Demand is increasing, especially in unmanned stores, as power and temperature can be controlled with a smartphone and operation and malfunctions can be checked through real-time monitoring.

 

Differentiation through patent applications

3RTECH acquired a patent for ‘integrated construction and sales management system for air conditioning and heating equipment’. The company is working to create an integrated management platform for refrigeration equipment by combining it with the Catholic University of Korea’s patent for ‘Artificial intelligence-based disaster prevention program through keyword analysis’.

CEO Kwon said “Because the price of air conditioners and installation fees is not transparent, consumers have to pay the price according to the demands of the sales company or installer. To improve this, we decided to create a solution that can transparently manage and control prices and its record.”

When a customer makes a request on the 3RTECH platform before installing an air conditioner or heat source facility, the company conducts an on-site inspection for a small travel fee, extracts installation information, and calculates an appropriate estimate based on the data. Through this, consumers can receive transparent quotes and help with purchasing and installing air conditioners.

CEO Kwon, who is also the head of the Korea Refrigeration Air Conditioning Construction Association’s Incheon branch, said, “Many consumers suffer losses because they do not know the exact price or installation cost of air conditioning or heating, but if they use our platform, they can get accurate information about the product as well as a quote.”

The refrigeration equipment sales management platform that the company is developing is scheduled to be completed around mid-December and introduced next year. The company also developed an air conditioner specifically for elevators and applied for a patent. Water leaking from air conditioners often causes elevator breakdowns, but the company has developed an air conditioner that prevents water from accumulating in elevators. Kwon said “Generally, air conditioners are air-cooled, but if you break water into small pieces and put it up like a humidifier, it sprays it on the heat to increase refrigeration efficiency. Even if water forms, it goes into the air and prevents water from accumulating.”

The company is currently preparing a prototype elevator air conditioner and plans to mass produce and sell it starting next year. Kwon said “We are researching a variety of refrigeration technologies and trying to respond flexibly to market diversification.”
