KOTRA and MOTIE hold Global Net Zero Connection 2024
KOTRA and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held Global Net Zero Connection 2024 at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul for two days starting June 24. About 160 officials, including government agencies from 7 countries, 4 international organizations, and 60 domestic and foreign companies, attended the event. ∼ Public-private greenhouse gas reduction cooperation forum ∼ Inter-company reduction partnering consultation meeting ∼ Bilateral meetings between governments were held, and MOUs on international greenhouse gas reduction cooperation were signed between MOTIE, the Ministry of Environment of Cambodia, and the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change of Bangladesh. At the forum, held on the 24th, officials and experts from international organizations such as the World Bank and UNDP spoke about their experiences in supporting GHG reduction projects in developing countries. "Through this forum and consultation, we are doing our utmost to help Korean companies gain the necessary information and seize business opportunities. KOTRA and MOTIE hold Seoul Food 2024
Seoul Food 2024, a four-day event organized by KOTRA and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, successfully concluded on June 11th. As the largest food exhibition in Korea and one of Asia's top four food specialty exhibitions, Seoul Food has established itself as one of the leading platforms for the global food industry. Seoul Food, now in its 42nd year, attracted 1,605 food companies and more than 53,000 visitors from 51 countries around the world. It was the largest ever in terms of visitors, with more than 10,000 more visitors than last year, an increase of more than 26%, demonstrating the growing expectations and interest in the Korean food industry. More than 640 Korean companies and 240 buyers from key distribution networks around the world, who were attracted by KOTRA's overseas trade centers, conducted on-site export business. Export consultations worth a total of $240 million were conducted, and on-site export contracts were also lined up. Following the success of the event, the organizers are planning to hold SEOUL FOOD in Bangkok 2024 later this year to help Korean food companies tap into the ASEAN market.
