Launches specialized LEDs for road signage and warning lights

LED road markings are illuminated floor traffic safety devices used on sidewalks and roads. LED road markers are mainly installed on the center line of the road to assist drivers in driving or illuminate pedestrian paths to assist pedestrians in walking at night, and they also have the effect of improving nighttime scenery. However, road marker bottles are relatively vulnerable to shock, temperature, and humidity, making them difficult to maintain once damaged. In the first half of this year, Ciellight introduced a new product that utilizes a special formulation of LEDs for road marking bottles that is more durable and visible. (For reference, the company has been in the road marking bottle business since 2019, and has been participating in the improvement of smart transportation systems through production with partners.) “Because road markings are directly related to driver and pedestrian accidents, there are often detailed product specification guidelines. We can customize the LEDs to meet these regulations, and we are happy to provide an integrated solution that also includes key components such as waterproof connectors” said the company. The company also introduced LEDs for warning lights, which were developed as high-efficiency and high-durability LEDs for parking lights and fire alarms, and given that they are used outside, the LEDs for warning lights are more durable by focusing on humidity compared to general LEDs applied to existing indoor lights.

 

Developing products for warehouse automation

LEDs and FNDs continue to be used for indicator lighting in warehouses. The company’s FNDs have been praised for their higher luminance than competitors’ products, which allows for better visibility in large, dark warehouses. Another technical advantage is customization. Especially during the pandemic, the home beauty industry exploded as people spent more time at home than outside. Due to the globalization of K-beauty, not only domestic but also overseas exports have become extremely popular. In particular, the market for home beauty devices has attracted not only professional companies, but also pharmaceutical companies and IT giants. As a leader in LEDs for beauty devices, we already have the technology to produce special wavelength products with minimal errors and have already applied our products to many beauty devices. Among LEDs, only certain wavelengths are used, usually a combination of three or four colors with infrared IR. With the K-beauty craze, the production of beauty devices is surging again after a lull, and we are focusing on developing special wavelengths that meet the needs of our customers” said the company.

 

LED full-spectrum composite lighting for machine vision now available

Ciellight, which has been in the machine vision lighting market since 2020, won acclaim in the first half of the year for its ability to offer customers up to 10 chips of color combinations, rather than a single 1-chip white light. Machine vision is an indispensable equipment in the field because it helps shorten process time, improve productivity, and improve product quality by automating factories such as measurement, quality inspection, and assembly verification, unlike manual work, where the inspection results vary depending on the operator’s condition or subjectivity. The company introduced LED PKGs for machine vision-specific composite lighting with a full spectrum of ultraviolet, invisible, and infrared light, enabling applications in a variety of specialized situations.

 

Launched an electronics buzzer lineup

A buzzer is a small module that produces sound on an Arduino and can be thought of as a small speaker, about the size of your thumb nail. This is mainly applied to electronic sounds, such as door locks, toys, alarm clocks, bus buzzers, car smart keys, etc. “Buzzer types are divided into active and passive buzzers. If the legs are different lengths and sound when powered, it is an active buzzer, and if the legs are the same length and do not sound when powered, it is a passive buzzer” explained the company. “Active buzzers have built-in circuitry and can only emit a single, specified sound, such as a simple ‘beep-beep,’ so they’re best suited for alarm lights. Passive buzzers do not have built-in circuitry and can output a variety of sounds by inputting specific frequencies, making them ideal for products that require melodies. At a time when many electronic component companies are struggling with the economic downturn, the company has innovatively reduced the distribution steps of buzzers to make them affordable for manufacturers. We will continue to focus on significantly reducing the existing production cost of our products.”
