Samsung Electronics hosts Samsung Security Technology Forum

Samsung Electronics held the 8th Samsung Security Tech Forum on Sept. 10 at Samsung Electronics' Seoul R&D Campus. The forum was held under the theme of 'Security with GenAI: Safeguarding the Future with Generative Intelligence', with participants from academia and industry sharing the latest technologies and trends in security technology. The company said “AI is not just about making our lives easier, it will also revolutionize security. It is our vision and challenge to make the future safer by fusing AI and security technologies.” Participants explained how AI can be effective in detecting vulnerabilities, but it also poses new risks, how it will change the world and the future of cybersecurity, and shared their experiences in building trusted AI. Samsung Research’s research activities in the security field including detection of AI Inflation of Traffic in text messages and technologies to protect sensitive data were also introduced. Participants took part in a variety of security hands-on programs including using generative AI tools to find security vulnerabilities in software or trying their hand at hacking. 

 

Ranked 1st in Digital Customer Experience Index for Home Appliances for 2nd consecutive year

Samsung Electronics has been ranked first for two consecutive years, receiving the highest score in the Digital Customer Experience Index for Home Appliances by the Korea Standards Association. The index examines 48 brands across 15 indusxtries including consumer electronics, automotive, banking and more. Samsung received high scores for information, maintenance, reliability, completeness, quality, and up-to-dateness. The company operates a chatbot that provides all in one solution for everything from product recommendations to questions one on one.
