Medi Step reduces equipment costs with sensor-less

AIT STUDIO is the creator of Medi Step, an inexpensive and convenient way to analyze your daily gait using AI. Measuring gait is more complicated and expensive than you might think. AIT STUDIO says “We found that gait testing six times more expensive than gait therapy, and the time it took was not significantly different from gait therapy.” The challenge was to reduce inspection time and cost while increasing accuracy, and Medi Step solved the problem. Medi Step uses AI sensing to capture footage of people walking, and its self-developed time-series data analysis algorithm automatically interprets the data and outputs a report in less than a minute, without the need for a human inspector. It has a high accuracy rate of 94.4% for stride rate and 94.8% for stride length in the first test. Medi Step is sensor-less, replacing cameras with sensors to reduce equipment costs and improve accuracy, which is expected to greatly benefit gait testing.

Selected for the National Rehabilitation Center SW Medical Device Usability Evaluation Project

Expanded lineup for convenient gait measurement in many locations

Since August this year, Medi Step has been selected and participated in the National Rehabilitation Center SW Medical Device Usability Evaluation Project, signed an agreement to support gait measurement equipment at the Nonhyeon Senior Citizens’ Comprehensive Welfare Center, and participated in the Seongdong-gu Health Care Fair. The company has developed Medi Step, a kiosk-based prosthesis analyzer that can be used in hospitals and health centers, and also Medi StepM, a tablet-based prosthesis analyzer. Medi StepM, a tablet PC-based mobile gait analyzer, is smaller than a kiosk and can be used in relatively small spaces such as welfare sites, making gait measurement more convenient in more places. AIT STUDIO is currently preparing GAIT STUDIO, an application available for download on the App Store, for use by global gait professionals and it will be announced and launched at CES next year.
