Chunhae Aviation Construction is a representative aviation and construction firm of Ansan City proving its capability by building Ansan Grace Building, Chunhae Central Building, Chunhae Rodeo Plaza, Millennium Plaza, Seoul Cantabile Apartment and Seoul Art Villa as well as numerous big and small apartment houses, public offices, schools and commercial buildings. Yoon Jong-geuk, Chairman of Chunhae Aviation Construction, said “I have 40 years of experience in the field. I can proudly say that Chunhae Aviation Construction has built the highest number of buildings in Ansan City except the major construction firms. We built the commercial building lines between Gojan Station and Jungang Station and currently are working on new trendy buildings on buying two pieces of the land in the region. We do everything from design and building to parceling out.” It was 1990 that Yoon started to have an interest in aviation industry. “Back then, it wasn’t easy for private firms to build light aircrafts due to strict regulations and absence of the related laws. But I saw a great potential in the field and had ambition to foster talented future industry specialists. So, I started to regularly visit to the public offices and private companies home and abroad to promote the industry in Korea.” But the conditions have not changed much today despite years of his effort. “We still have lack of runways and the regulations also haven’t much improved yet.” But his enthusiasm never fades away; he has invited industry officials from home and abroad to the air shows held in Ansan City, Yeongdeok County and Gyeongju City on a regular basis and received great attention. Meanwhile, he has donated research fund, food and medicines to North Korea and Afghanistan through the Korea Welfare Foundation which is an international non-government organization. In recognition of his contribution to the industry and the world peace, Yoon received the 2018 Korea Premium People Awards held on April 4. Currently, Chunhae Aviation Construction is building a new springboard to fly high to the world; Yoon’s second daughter Yoon Ha-jung is actively engaging in the business as a team leader to continue the achievements of his father and grow the business a level high. She majored in voice but turned her course to architecture by taking the International MBA Global Yes at Hanyang University. The father and daughter voiced together that they would continue the company’s tradition of making contribution to the industry and helping the people in need in our society.
