Sumisa means ‘people crazy about math’. Opened in Daechi-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul in 2007, Sumisa has made a significant progress to gain a reputation in the field and is now managing numerous branches in Banpo-dong, Seocho District, Pyeongchon-dong, Dobong District and Suwon City.
Sumisa’s ‘Three Notes’ gives thorough analysis on wrong answers and students are required to carry three notebooks each categorized into class, homework and wrong answers. The three notes must include the process of reaching to the right answers which then is followed by a check-up. Teachers point out important questions and students are also encouraged to point out their own important questions to create synergy effect.
“We have accumulated knowhow and experience in math for over a decade which has been well proven by a number of our branches in the capital region. We will keep pushing forward our zeal and passion in math education and expand the number of branches nationwide” says Hwang Ok-su, CEO of Sumisa.
In recognition of its contribution to the field, Sumisa received the 2019 Korea Education Industrial Awards in the math category.
