Yoon attends 105th March 1st Movement ceremony

President Yoon attended the 105th March 1st Movement ceremony. In his speech, he said "March 1st Movement will be completed by unification. Our efforts for unification should be a hope and a lamplight for the people in the north. March 1st Movement is the unique future-oriented independence struggle in the world history because people did not want the restoration of the monarchy but freedom for all ages and men and women. Now, South Korea is one of the leading economies in the world. I believe that all independence movements must receive due respect and they must be passed down to generations.

It is deplorable that the north regime depends only on missiles and nuclear weapons while leaving 26 million people in misery and despair and pointing South Korea as its arch enemy. The regime denies the universal value of humanity, freedom and human rights. Nevertheless, we will keep providing humanitarian aid to the north. Today, South Korea and Japan have become partners for world peace and prosperity. Through exchange and cooperation, we can build trust and a bright future." The event was attended by 1200 people.
