Pumps are tools used to move liquids or sludge. The pharmaceutical and medical industries use pumps to dispense diagnostic reagents, portion and dose reagents for home kits, dispense reagent syrups, and refill dietary supplements. In chemistry and research, pumps are used to refill cosmetics and detergents, dispense small amounts of chemical solutions for battery liquids and semiconductor fabrication, and dispense quantities of adhesives and chemicals. Pumps are also used for chemical solutions used in biotechnology and applied engineering laboratories, as well as for the isomerization and discharge of cement and epoxy high-viscosity solutions.

Unrivaled technology in metering pumps!

Next Pump has unique technology in the field of metering dispense and metering pumping equipment at home and abroad. The company provides pharmaceutical metering pumps, magnetic gear pumps, high pressure metering pumps, syringe pumps, and vacuum pumps to the industrial field in direct sales or OEM. Next Pump has been dealing with liquid pumps and liquid dischargers for more than 20 years, and since 2017, it has developed its own brand and gained attention for developing and selling products that are cheaper and perform better than imported pumps in the market. Liquid pumps are a key component of many automation equipment and are used in a wide range of applications. Next Pump has developed two- and three-component ejectors that can accurately dispense a certain amount of liquid while mixing the required ingredients by simply inputting the desired volume into the ejector channel. In particular, metering pumps and metering dischargers are indispensable devices in the automation industry, which has been increasing in recent years, and are expected to solve the labor shortage and labor cost. In addition to liquid pumps and liquid dischargers, Next Pump has developed powder pumps and launched the PMP series after 10 years of development. The PMP series, developed in collaboration with Garu-sol in 2020, is a device that can transfer and dispense powder, and is expected to contribute to various material parts industries with a lineup of small powder transfer machines and hand pumps.

A variety of powder pumps!

The powder pumps developed by Next Pump are capable of discharging and conveying a wide range of powders. It was difficult to transfer powdery substances using other conveying methods that required different shapes and power. However, the PMP series, which is also the base model series, incorporates more than four patents into the existing Next Pump controller, allowing powder to be conveyed or discharged in 0.1 second increments through a conveying tube that can be adjusted in 0.1 RPM increments. The controller supports the RS485 protocol, so it is expected to be applied to a wide range of automation equipment. The PMP series is easy to use, with easy menu entry via knob press or touch, and can be used with almost any powder. All powders can be discharged or conveyed, including various food powders, as well as chemical powders and granular powders used in the chemical industry. Since Next Pump can customize the length of the conveying pipe to within 5 meters, customers can choose the conveying pipe according to the nature of the powder to be used. In recent model changes, the company designed it to be easy for consumers to assemble and disassemble, and in terms of application, improved it to be used in a wide range of fields by allowing liquids, high viscosity. The company’s PLS series, on the other hand, is a scale-linked liquid or powder dispenser that combines a powder pump and a liquid pump in a built-in scale, and is a hybrid product that uses a switch to select the pump (liquid or powder). It works by connecting a pump and adjusting the speed on the scale to dispense a set amount of liquid or powder, and there are four different products based on scale units and maximum capacity. It has a job completion signal for automation, a footswich for connectivity with other equipment, and is designed to work in tight spaces in conjunction with robots. The company also has a BMP series and a hand pump series designed to easily lift and transfer powder in bags. The upcoming transfer pumps will be called metering pumps for improved quantitativeness and will feature a lightweight, reroutable system with a low-speed, low-energy structure.

Developed the first metering pump in Korea with a structure that is not affected by the external environment

Next Pump’s powder pumps are rare in Korea and abroad, “so much so that there is no domestic industry code,” said CEO Jeonghwan Park. In the case of powder conveyors in Korea, the equipment itself is large and classified as various packaging machines due to the vibration, vacuum, and falling methods, but Next Pump’s products do not fall into this category due to the quantitative conveying falling method. CEO Park called for improvements to the industrial code system, saying that innovative products are not getting the necessary processing, such as product registration with the Public Procurement Service. Next Pump produces and sells various pumps and dischargers under its own brand, in addition to powder pumps. In particular, the company is the first in Korea to develop a method of discharging without being affected by the external environment and apply it to metering pumps. As a result, it is possible to transfer and dispense powders with a particle size of 5mm or less, and it can also be applied to equipment that automatically discharges various two-liquid mixing liquids using a two-channel pump.
