APLUS TAX & ACCOUNTING SERVICES (APLUS) provides US tax accounting services throughout the world, including in Korea, the US, and Europe. The firm’s work includes U.S. personal income tax reporting, and corporate tax reporting,  and corporation establishment and operation services.

CEO Jimin Seo is a certified U.S. CPA and has been a specialist in U.S. tax accounting since 2011. With her know-how and experience in that financial capital of the world, she established APLUS US & Tax Accounting in Daegu, South Korea, in 2020 to provide a differentiated competitive edge.

The firm provides U.S. tax accounting services to a wide range of clients in Korea and abroad with a network Seo has built. Many of her clients have been with her for more than a decade, dating back to her time in the United States. 

“I still maintain relationships with the clients I met while I was in the United States. Thankfully, they were satisfied with the service I provided and have continued to work with me even after I came to Korea. They have been so attentive and waited for me as I got closer to giving birth, and I have always worked with them with a grateful heart.” says Seo.

One of the reasons she can provide services worldwide flawlessly is her ability to handle business non-face-to-face covering everything from A to Z. When she receives a client’s request through email or various messages, she analyzes, prepares and processes documents meticulously.

She puts herself in the client’s shoes in every case. This is how she builds client trust and solidifies the partnership. 

“It’s not easy for me to focus solely on my work because I also have to juggle being a mom, and the heavy workload can be exhausting at times. But I love it, and most importantly, I enjoy and find it rewarding. I’ve been practicing U.S. tax accounting for more than a decade, and that’s probably because it’s something I love and am good at. I’m grateful to be able to do what I love, and that gratitude keeps me grounded and enjoyable in the midst of a busy and demanding job.” says Seo.

She has more clients now than when she started the firm and many of them have become repeat clients. As the firm grows, hiring, training, and organizing systems will be a challenge for her but she plans to use her experience and knowledge to balance the growth in a variety of ways.
