Hyundai and Kyungpook National University partner for I’M DOgNOR
Hyundai Motor Group and Kyungpook National University signed an MOU for I’M DOgNOR, a pet blood donor center. The company started this pet blood donation campaign in 2019. Currently, more than 90 percent of blood for dog transfusions in Korea is sourced from donor dogs raised in poor conditions, and Hyundai continues to promote the campaign to improve this situation and spread awareness of the need for dog blood donation. In line of this effort, the company and Konkuk University joined hands to open Asia’s first pet blood donation center KU I’M DOgNOR in 2022. The company plans to build and donate pet ambulances using the motorized business platform ST1, and is running a Wadiz funding campaign until July 30 to raise public interest in dog blood donation. I’M DOgNOR Friends, made up of people with extensive knowledge about dogs or owners who have adopted abandoned dogs, such as singer Kyungri, comedian Park Seong-gwang, and veterinarian Seol Chae-hyun, have also been launched and will participate in various campaigns conducted by Hyundai Motor Group in the future. Free screenings for pets and determination of blood donation eligibility will also be held in Daejeon (Time Animal Medical Center), Daegu (Kyungpook National University Animal Hospital), and Busan (Big Heart Animal Medical Center).
