Saving energy and improving energy efficiency to achieve carbon neutrality is becoming an irresistible mission, and many organizations are actively implementing energy-saving solutions. Heemang ENG (CEO Kim Sung-su), located in Geoje City is an automatic control system and electricity, telecommunication construction company that focuses on developing energy-saving solutions.

Differentiated energy savings solutions

Established in October 2018, Heemang ENG is building an automatic control system for energy saving for carbon neutrality based on the electricity telecommunication firefighting construction business. CEO Kim Sung-su, who founded the company, said he started the company with a vision for energy-saving-related businesses while working in overall automated control system management at Hanwha Ocean. “I was in charge of energy saving at Hanwha Ocean. There have been many twists and turns over the past six to seven years, but I have been growing steadily” says Kim. Companies that build energy-saving solutions and control systems are mainly located in the Seoul metropolitan area, making it difficult for companies like Hanwha Ocean to maintain and develop new solutions when they have business sites in remote areas. The company is centered in Geoje, Gyeongnam, and is gaining competitiveness by providing various electrical firefighting and communication works, automatic control system construction, and energy management solution services to local businesses in Busan, Changwon, and Gwangyang.  “We have a great sense of cooperation and teamwork. We have young and enthusiastic employees who actively work together to get things done quickly. We work a lot with Hanwha Ocean and Samsung Heavy Industries, and we are exposed to a lot of overseas advanced equipment and large systems, so we have gained a wide range of experience and technical skills” says Kim. Heemang ENG provides basic telecommunication and firefighting works, as well as automatic control system development and construction such as PLC program design and HMI development, manufacturing of switchboards and distribution boards, maintenance of electrical and control facilities, and various solutions related to electrical and control. The company also conducts solar power generation projects and electric vehicle charger installation. The company has gained high customer satisfaction by understanding the needs of customers and providing thorough site surveys, optimized design, prompt and meticulous construction, as well as verification through post-construction commissioning and thorough post-management services. Expanding services to nationwide over Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province

Heemang ENG goals to create 10 billion won in sales volume in the future and expand its services to nationwide over Geoje. “The companies we work with are all over the country, which allows us to expand. We’re not at the level of a big business, but we’re expanding in small increments, and we’re continuing our research to develop more advanced energy-saving solutions and factory automation solutions. What I observe is that state support programs are sometimes utilized in ways that are not in line with the state’s intentions. I would like to see more benefits for those who are honestly growing their companies and I would like to see more programs and support for young founders to grow properly” says Kim. Heemang ENG is engaged in various volunteer activities for the local community. It has joined the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea as a sharing leader, and is engaged in free electrical equipment replacement, product support, donations, and activities of the Electrical Workers Association.
