Yammy Factory is a company leading the ‘kidult’ trend in Korea. Kidult is a compound word of kid and adult meaning that a group of adults with an interest in a certain thing like children playing with. At Yammy Factory, you can enjoy toys made of slimy stuff often called as ‘liquid monster’. CEO Jeongsol named the brand to mean ‘yummy toys’ as slime toys are like flavored food or cool drinks for her. “You might have seen slime toys before. The difference of Yammy Factory is added colors and sounds and you can choose according to your taste from clear and soft jellies to crunchy” explains Jeongsol. Jeongsol majored in cooking and worked as a cook and once ran a handmade lunchbox store. She came to know about slime toys on Instagram and enchanted by the magic. “I just wanted to share things about slime toys but indulged myself into making things on my own way and I started to sell.” All products of Yammy Factory now are custom-made and it normally takes around 3 to 5 days. Yammy Factory is popular among people in their 20s and 30s especially of women.
