Hye Kyung Kim is a professor of Daegu Catholic University Industry-Academic Cooperation and the president of the Korea Culture and Arts Centers Association. As a classical singer and an educator, Kim is credited for founding a non-profit private opera company in the region where culture and art are hardly seen. She won the Production and Runner Up at the Korea Opera Awards and received a presidential prize at the Korea Culture Development Merit Awards. She is the first woman who became Director of the Changwon Seongsan Art Hall through open competitive employment. Recently, she has listed her name in the 2021 Korea Culture Management Awards in the category of culture and art management in recognition of her contribution to facilitating more cultural and artistic events for the underprivileged. She is also credited for development and introduction of differentiated contents, increase of financial independence to 60% and openly receiving as a cultural leader in South Gyeongsang Province.
